Keys to Communication accepts health insurance and is in-network with the following: BlueCross BlueShield, Providence Health Plans, PacificSource, MODA. We can accept Oregon Medicaid Open Card as a secondary insurance.
We can also bill out of network insurance plans. Please keep in mind, although Keys to Communication will run an insurance check and work directly with your insurance company, you are responsible for knowing your own coverage and will be responsible for payment as needed.
Keys to Communication also offers competitive out-of-pocket rates. Please contact for current options.
We provide client driven and client lead therapy. Each client’s specific AAC system(s) is used in functional, REAL LIFE situations to encourage realistic use of language and help families learn how to use the AAC system in their own home and community settings. Families and caregivers are expected to fully participate in sessions.
Overall goal is to make families feel empowered in communicating and advocating for the AAC user while growing language skills and having FUN!
You will have access to all chart notes via Simple Practice, our electronic medical record. You can access Simple Practice here: https://keys2comm.clientsecure.me or by using the free Simple Practice app available on your smartphone or iPad.
YES! We believe that collaboration between therapists, families, and school teams is essential for our clients. We will do our best to reach out to each team member to connect and coordinate care.
We do have a wait list for therapy. Since we travel all around the greater Portland area, it is difficult to give a time frame as to when an appointment spot may be available. When a spot in your home area becomes available, you will be offered the time slot. That day and time will be on the schedule until we change the plan of care together. If the time spot offered does not work for you, you will not loose your spot on the wait list. You will be offered the next available slot in your area.
